This Refund and Return Policy outlines your rights and our guidelines regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.

1. Eligibility Window for Returns

• You have 3 to 7 days from the date of delivery or physical pickup to request a return or exchange.
• Requests made after this window will unfortunately not be accepted.

2. Conditions for a Valid Return

To be eligible for a return, exchange, or store credit, the item(s) must meet all of the following conditions:

1. Original Condition: The part must be unused, uninstalled, unmounted, and in the exact condition you received it.
2. Original Packaging: It must be in its original manufacturer packaging/box, complete with all tags, manuals, and protective seals intact.
3. Proof of Purchase: You must present the original receipt, invoice, or online order confirmation number.
4. Inspection: All returned parts are subject to inspection by our technical team before a refund or exchange is approved.

3. Non-Returnable / Final Sale Items

Due to the technical and sensitive nature of automotive parts, the following items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances:

• Electrical & Electronic Components: This includes ECUs (Engine Control Units), sensors, throttle bodies, starter motors, alternators, ignition coils, and fuel pumps. (Electrical components are susceptible to damage from faulty vehicle wiring or improper installation and are strictly final sale once purchased).
• Special Orders: Custom-imported parts or components specifically sourced upon request for a unique vehicle specification.
• Gaskets, Seals & Fluids: Oils, coolants, chemical additives, and single-use gaskets once opened or unsealed.
• Damaged/Modified Parts: Any part that shows signs of attempted installation, tool marks, grease, modification, or damage caused by improper handling by the mechanic or customer.

4. Core Deposits (Exchange Parts)

If you purchased a part that requires an old unit exchange (such as certain gearboxes, steering racks, or injectors):

• Your old core must be returned to us within 7 days of purchase.
• The core must be of the same type and model, and free from catastrophic structural cracks or irreparable damage, to qualify for the full core deposit refund or waiver.

5. Return Shipping and Logistics Costs

• Change of Mind / Incorrect Ordering: If you ordered the wrong part or wish to return an item due to a change of heart, you are responsible for all shipping/delivery costs associated with returning the item to our store or warehouse.
• Our Error / Defective Item: If we delivered the wrong item or the part arrived structurally defective (verified upon inspection), Excess Auto Spares Kenya will cover the shipping/replacement logistics costs.

6. Refund Process and Timelines

• Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email or WhatsApp message to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
• If approved, your refund will be processed, and funds will be credited via your original method of payment (M-Pesa, Bank Transfer, or Cash) within 3 to 5 business days.
• Note: Delivery fees are strictly non-refundable.

7. Exchanges

If you need to exchange an eligible part for a different specification or model:

1. Contact our customer support team first to confirm stock availability.
2. Bring the item back or ship it to us.
3. Any price difference for the new part, along with any applicable return shipping fees, will need to be settled before the new item is dispatched.
